this weekend
memories did flow
of this and other days
where did they all go?

back and back i went
to a time long ago
when life was so hell
and time was so slow.

though i remember
i try hard not to show
where we all went
and how much we know.

what's it all about?
yet still we must grow
the reasons are few
too many are foe.

mind how you live it
before you can know
life is all gone
soon be dust and be woe.
